Good News Cleveland, a web show and podcast, recently provided a platform for Cleveland Metropolitan Schools CEO Eric Gordon and State Board of Education member Meryl Johnson to discuss educational initiatives, measuring progress, the importance of Issue 68, and much more.

Johnson is also a co-chair of the Issue 68 campaign. She spent 40 years as a CMSD educator. She was elected to the State Board of Education in 2016 and represents 24 school districts in Cuyahoga and Lake counties.

"I'm asking all of you Cleveland residents, please, please vote for Issue 68," Johnson said. "Our students, they deserve it."

Gordon also cautioned voters about the location of Issue 68 on their ballots.

"Residents should know [Issue 68] is the very last thing on the ballot," he said near the end of the discussion. "You have to go all the way to the bottom."
