Cleveland Metropolitan School District CEO Eric Gordon visited Fox 8's New Day Cleveland this week to explain Issue 68 and what is at stake with the levy on the ballot.
"It represents 12 percent of our budget," Gordon said, "and funds our students continuing to have great teachers, small class sizes, good programs, the new technology we've rolled out through [the pandemic], and continues those increasing test scores and graduation rates."
Gordon went on to explain that most of Issue 68 consists of a renewal of the levy voters originally approved in 2012. He also reminded voters that previously approved levy funding does not account for inflation.
