Crain's Cleveland Business strongly endorsed Issue 68 for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in an editorial published Sunday, Oct. 11.

"This is not an easy time to ask Cleveland property owners to pay more. We understand that," the editorial reads. "At the same time, the city that U.S. Census data recently identified as having the highest poverty rate in the nation among places with 200,000-plus residents has to think hard about what will help change that status.

"As we see it, a school district that produces better-educated students who are better-prepared to be part of the workforce of the future is high on that list. The levy is important to achieving that goal."
